Tea like Wildfire

Acrylic on canvas | 61cm (W) × 76cm (H) × 3.8cm (D) | Ready to hang

ARTWORK STORY // DESCRIPTION

Tea Like Wildfire brings together two unlikely sensations: the intimacy of a cup of tea and the

unstoppable energy of a spark.

Its expressive marks seem to spread from one gesture to the next, suggesting warmth becoming

excitement. The unusual title adds wit to the painting's visual intensity.

The unexpected pairing in the title is part of the appeal. Tea suggests ritual, comfort and a

moment to oneself; wildfire suggests energy that cannot be contained. The composition allows

these opposite sensations to coexist, turning warmth into movement and familiarity into

surprise.

That tension gives the painting a mischievous personality. It belongs in a space where art is

allowed to be witty and expressive, perhaps beside a dining table or in a room made for

conversation.

The title Tea Like Wildfire is almost a little impossible, and that is exactly its charm. A cup of tea

belongs to familiar routines, while wildfire suggests intensity and unpredictability. The painting

lives in the space between those opposite sensations.

It feels like a domestic ritual interrupted by an extraordinary idea, or a quiet conversation that

suddenly becomes unforgettable. The lively abstract language gives this contrast room to

unfold, making the work playful, surprising and full of personality.
