Take Me reads like the beginning of a sentence whispered just before a journey.

The title gives its gestures an emotional pull—towards another person, another place or simply

a different feeling. Its intimacy lies in what remains unsaid.

Two short words create a surprisingly powerful invitation. 'Take me' might be addressed to a

person, a place or a feeling not yet found. The painting's gestures leave that destination

undefined, giving the viewer permission to imagine their own.

There is vulnerability in asking to be carried somewhere new, but also excitement. This artwork
