Road Trip (Marilyn Monroe series)

Acrylic on canvas | 51cm (W) × 76cm (H) × 3.8cm (D) | Ready to hang

ARTWORK STORY // DESCRIPTION

Road Trip imagines Marilyn beyond the studio lights, moving towards a horizon of her own

choosing.

The title introduces a sense of escape to an image usually associated with fame and still

photography. Glamour meets restlessness, and the portrait becomes a story about freedom

rather than celebrity alone.

A road trip is defined by movement and the possibility of leaving familiar routines behind. The

title invites us to imagine Marilyn not as a fixed photograph but as a traveller with an unknown

destination. That simple shift changes the emotional story of the portrait.

Here glamour meets independence and a little restlessness. The artwork can bring a playful

sense of adventure to a living room, hallway or space decorated with memories of travel.

Road Trip takes Marilyn out of the fixed frame of celebrity portraiture and places her within a

story of movement. Suddenly the familiar face seems capable of choosing a direction, leaving a

city behind or setting off without a plan.

11 ART STUDIO | ORIGINAL ARTWORK COLLECTION

The title gives the artwork a spirit of independence. It asks us to imagine the person beyond the

photographs and the possibility of a life not entirely defined by an audience. The result is

glamorous, but also playful and unexpectedly free.

A spirited pop-art work for people who love travel and the romance of the open road.
