Cherry

Acrylic on canvas | 61cm (W) × 91cm (H) × 1.8cm (D) | Ready to hang

ARTWORK STORY // DESCRIPTION

Cherry is a small word full of colour, flavour and anticipation.

The painting takes that richness as a starting point, allowing the idea of sweetness to become a

more expressive visual experience. Its lively character feels both playful and assured.

Cherry is a word that brings taste and colour to mind almost instantly. The painting takes that

familiar association and stretches it into a more expressive mood: ripe, lively and slightly

mischievous. The result has the immediacy of a small pleasure made unexpectedly important.

Its character is cheerful without being timid. Used as an accent, the artwork can introduce a

playful note to a dining area, kitchen or contemporary room with a confident approach to

colour.

The word Cherry is wonderfully immediate. It suggests flavour, ripeness, brightness and the

pleasure of something small but memorable. The painting takes that sensory association and

turns it into an expressive personality.

There is an element of mischief in such a simple title. It refuses to make the subject solemn,

inviting us instead to enjoy colour, appetite and the spontaneity of an unexpected visual delight.

Cherry brings an uplifting note to the collection.
